Voices, Night & Blues

Day 13

Anike

when the time comes to cry,

to mourn faces who once lived in your soul,

time to open your wounds

to count the number of people who

left you in the pool of your own blood,

time to leap into your body

to places where memories are

broken names inscribed on rocks,

time to seek healing in voices

& silence is all your hands would reach,

tme to find your dreams in a glass house

& survival will be subjecting your skin to glass cuts,

& time to look your scars

& be greeted by mobbing pasts.

I will always be here

to remind you you're not alone.
