In Our Days

By Joseph Ileme 18 months ago

We had the television

We had a clear vision

All aware of our mission

And it was difficult fishing

Out the ones without respect

As an elder you'd get what you expect

Phones had only buttons

And homes had their "curtains"

Naked, we'd play in the rain

Girls and boys were playing,

Of course we were plain

But now we're in chains, tech has put us in pains

And has poisoned our minds,it's now something that blinds

Chi-chi men all around, women and women abound

Before the next spring, I'll take my offspring

Down memory lane, so he'll see that now we're insane

Because what happens nowadays

Couldn't happen in our days
